a change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one, by natural or supernatural means.

 

Start with an object and transform it into something else, showing the phases in the metamorphosis!


 

hy·brid

/hīˌbrid/
1.the offspring of two plants or animals of different species or varieties, such as a mule (a hybrid of a donkey and a horse).
2.a thing made by combining two different elements; a mixture.
Mix 2 animals together to create a new species!

HYBRID:  ANIMAL + ANIMAL

HYBRID: FOOD + ANIMAL

 

 HYBRID: MAN-MADE vs. NATURE

 

 

 

HYBRID: OBJECT +OBJECT

 

HYBRID: HUMAN + ANIMAL


 

REQUIREMENTS:

**** You must show your thinking – start by brainstorming with a written list of ideas and then start @ LEAST 4 THUMBNAIL sketches of your ideas!

1.Must use 85% of your paper on a 1 page spread. – you can always go bigger, 2 page spread!

2.Use graphite, unless you want to use a little color (like the paintbrushes  turning into asparagus)

OR

3. Use black sharpie and prismacolor markers (like the banana-octopus)

OR

4. WATERCOLOR!

5. Show VALUE + TEXTURE!

6. Metamorphosis: Must have at least 4 transformations.

7. Turn in on-time showing at least 2-4 hours of effort!
